Alexander Sage Oyen is a songwriter whose songs have over 15 Million streams on Spotify. He’s the recipient of the 2017 Lotos Foundation Prize for lyrics and the 2014 ASCAP Foundation’s Lucille and Jack Yellen award.
His musicals include: Diva: Live From Hell; Tyrants (2023 National Archives presentation, D.C. starring A.J. Shively, Eric William Morris and more); Roam; The Parlor (premiere tour in Tokyo and Kobe, Japan); Discount Ghost Stories (2020 cast recording feat. LaChanze, George Salazar and more); Outlaws (2016 Live recording featuring Constantine Maroulis, Kacie Sheik and more); Glü (2025 Production, Timber Lake Playhouse, starring Sarah Daniels, Heath Saunders and more); and Moment By Moment (2018 cast recording featuring Jason Gotay, Emma Hunton and more).
He was awarded the 2013-2014 Dramatist Guild Fellowship and his musical Outlaws was featured in the 2014 ASCAP Workshop. Additionally, he was a 2017 and 2022 Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist. His music has been heard at Lincoln Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Symphony Space, 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, Playwrights Horizons, The Signature Theatre, New World Stages, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and venues in Thailand, London, Japan, The Netherlands, and all across the world.
